Millettia laurentii, from west-central Africa — Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the two Congos; medium brown with a reddish or yellowish cast and nearly black streaks, very coarse in texture, the alternating dense and open bands reading as a fine dark stripe — near-identical panga panga (Millettia stuhlmannii) is routinely sold under the same name.
