The Wood Key
Eucalyptus robusta, native to a narrow coastal strip of eastern Australia from Rockhampton south to Jervis Bay, and widely planted elsewhere — naturalised and treated as invasive in Hawai'i; pale red when freshly cut, turning orange-red to red-brown, with a band of pale brown sapwood, interlocked grain and sometimes a ribbon stripe on quartersawn faces.
