Dalbergia spruceana, from southern Venezuela through northern and northeastern Brazil to Bolivia; orange to reddish brown with darker contrasting streaks over a lighter yellowish sapwood, and close enough to Brazilian rosewood in both face and end grain that the two are hard to separate by eye.
