The Wood Key
Khaya spp., a tropical African genus and no relation to the American Swietenia, of which four species carry the trade; heartwood pale pink to deeper reddish brown, sometimes streaked with medium to dark reddish brown, grain straight to interlocked with a medium to coarse texture, and it darkens with age.
