Gibson Guitars
Founded in 1894, Gibson built the flat-tops that run through a century of popular music — the J-45, the Hummingbird — and still makes its acoustics by hand in Bozeman, Montana. The Atlas carries only its Custom end: the Historic reissues and Murphy Lab–aged recreations of those vintage models, not standard Original- or Modern-Collection production.
Five Star Guitars
Five Star Guitars is a full-line shop in Beaverton, Oregon, on the west side of the Portland metro — serving players from beginner to pro across a broad floor of electrics, amps, and acoustics. For high-end flat-top shoppers the draw is a modest but real shelf of new Taylors alongside Santa Cruz and Oregon-made Bedell, mixed with rotating consignment and used pieces. What sets the shop apart is its setup discipline: an in-house luthier gives every instrument a full custom setup — fret leveling, truss-rod relief, nut and saddle work, intonation — before it leaves the store, a level of pre-sale work most retailers skip.
