Martin Guitars
Founded in 1833 and still building in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Martin effectively invented the American flat-top — and its Custom Shop is where that lineage still gets made by hand, one guitar at a time. On the Atlas you'll find only that end of the company: built-to-order Custom Shop instruments and the Authentic Series' pre-war reproductions (hide glue, hand-shaped bracing, VTS-aged tops), not the standard catalog.
Northeast Music Center
Northeast Music Center is a full-service shop in northeastern Pennsylvania, near Scranton, run by owner-luthier Jack Gretz — more than three decades in the instrument business, and his signature is in the store's logo. Its defining strength is Martin: located roughly 40 miles from C.F. Martin's Nazareth factory, NEMC is one of the few Martin Custom Shop expert dealers in the country, a C.F. Martin warranty repair center, and a regular collaborator with the Custom Shop on special runs and one-off builds. The Martin floor spans the standard line, Authentic reissues, and bespoke Custom Shop instruments — recent stock has run from accessible models well into five figures — alongside an authorized Taylor inventory. Gretz's service ethos runs through the shop: new means new, not big-box shop-worn, and every guitar is set up to the buyer's preference at no charge. For Martin shoppers in particular, NEMC is a destination dealer with factory-level custom access few shops can match.
