Santa Cruz Guitar Company

Santa Cruz Guitar Company has built guitars in Santa Cruz, California since 1976, when Richard Hoover founded the shop to bring violin-lutherie traditions into acoustic guitar building. Each top is tap-tuned and voiced by hand in a strictly climate-controlled workshop. Its connection with Tony Rice — the Tony Rice Model evokes the pre-war Martin D-28 voice he was known for — anchored its reputation in bluegrass flatpicking, and over five decades the catalog has grown into a deep custom-shop operation where most builds are individually specified rather than spec-built.

Acoustic Vibes Music

Acoustic Vibes Music is based in Tempe, Arizona, with a wide catalog spanning boutique builders alongside more accessible lines. Inside their boutique acoustic section sits a steady rotation of Bourgeois, Collings, Atkin, Furch, Larrivée, and Lowden — a meaningful presence in the high-end Western US market.
