Bourgeois Guitars are built in Lewiston, Maine, in a shop led by Dana Bourgeois — one of the most quietly influential voicers in acoustic guitar making. Dana spent decades refining his ear before the brand took its current shape, and players who care about tone trade notes about the dry, fundamental "Bourgeois" voice the way wine drinkers talk about terroir. Each top is still hand-voiced by ear rather than built to a fixed spec.
