Gibson Guitars
Founded in 1894, Gibson built the flat-tops that run through a century of popular music — the J-45, the Hummingbird — and still makes its acoustics by hand in Bozeman, Montana. The Atlas carries only its Custom end: the Historic reissues and Murphy Lab–aged recreations of those vintage models, not standard Original- or Modern-Collection production.
Thunder Road Guitars (Portland)
Thunder Road Guitars opened in Portland's St. Johns neighborhood in 2017, the second store from the Seattle Ballard original (est. 2009) — an independently-owned family business with deep used and vintage shelves alongside a dense electric, amp, and pedal catalog. The Portland floor carries the broadest Collings shelf in either store (substantially deeper than Seattle's) plus the high-end mass-market custom shops — Fender Custom Shop, Gibson Custom, Martin — in serious depth. The shop holds authorized-stockist status with both Collings and Lowden, reflecting a real Pacific Northwest dealer relationship for boutique steel-string buyers. Each store runs its own inventory under a shared umbrella website, so what's on the St. Johns floor is what ships out of St. Johns.
