Martin Guitars
Founded in 1833 and still building in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Martin effectively invented the American flat-top — and its Custom Shop is where that lineage still gets made by hand, one guitar at a time. On the Atlas you'll find only that end of the company: built-to-order Custom Shop instruments and the Authentic Series' pre-war reproductions (hide glue, hand-shaped bracing, VTS-aged tops), not the standard catalog.
Fret Mill Music Co.
Fret Mill Music Co. is a downtown Roanoke shop in southwestern Virginia's Blue Ridge foothills, operating from a storefront on West Campbell Avenue. The catalog runs broad — Martin and Taylor anchor the floor alongside electric guitars, amps, and effects — with a focused boutique acoustic shelf built around Huss & Dalton, where the shop's authorized-dealer relationship is their deepest. For players in the Roanoke / New River Valley region, it's the nearest in-person stop for boutique acoustic shopping; the next closest comparable shop is several hours away.
